Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that Dr. Chris Boorman has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO) and senior vice president, responsible for worldwide marketing. Boorman brings 20 years of international marketing leadership experience at enterprise software category leaders including SDL, salesforce.com, VERITAS and Oracle.

As CMO for SDL, a leading Global Information Management enterprise software vendor offering language translation technology and services, Boorman was responsible for all marketing functions. At SDL, Boorman played a key role in two strategic acquisitions and implemented initiatives to drive higher productivity across various marketing functions.
Prior to SDL, Boorman served as vice president for EMEA marketing at salesforce.com, the worldwide leader in on-demand Customer Relationship Management services. Before salesforce.com, for 9 years, Boorman led EMEA marketing at the leading enterprise software vendor, VERITAS. Over his 10-year tenure at Oracle, Boorman held various positions in Consulting, Pre-Sales Support and Product Marketing.
Boorman was a founding board member of the European Storage Networking Industry Association as well as a board member of the Fibre Channel Industry Association.
Boorman attended Southampton University, United Kingdom earning a Doctorate in Magnetism and Engineering, a Masters Degree in Cryogenics and Applications and a First Class Honors Bachelors degree in Physics.
