Best of the Best: A Strategic Approach to Data Integration

Technology:
Which technologies were used? Please name the specific products and features used in implementing this project (e.g., PowerCenter 8.6). List the features that were critical and why (e.g., change data capture, 64-bit support, grid, Linux portability). Did developers reduce time to results through improved productivity?

Objectives:
What organizational objectives were met as a result, including high-level corporate objectives as well as intermediary objectives? For example, improved access or quality of product data might lead to quicker time to market, which can result in higher revenues or earlier realization of revenues. Improved access to or quality of customer data may reduce average call time in the support hub; this may lead to greater opportunity to up-sell and cross-sell.

Benefits:
What business and technical objectives were met? Please describe the benefits achieved through this project's implementation, including the business and technical goals the company set out to achieve. For example, how did it increase revenues or decrease spending? Did it streamline the supply chain process? Did it simplify the merger of two companies? What problems did the project solve for the company? What advantages does it offer?

Metrics:
Please quantify the benefits, preferably in financial terms, but also perhaps in percentages (e.g., reduced time to market by 30 percent).

Partner Role:
If the implementation included expert advice or consultation via a partner, please describe the role that partner played in the project. Did the partner provide strategic advisement on project planning? Was the partner involved in a more hands-on manner throughout the implementation process? What type of expertise did the partner bring to the project?
