INFORMATICA FORMS ALLIANCE WITH D&B TO ENHANCE CRM ANALYTICS

Informatica Customer Relationship Analytics application will gain powerful data-quality, enrichment capabilities through integration of D&B information

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 28, 2002 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of business analytics software, today announced an alliance agreement with D&B (NYSE: DNB) that will help Informatica Applications' customers to seamlessly incorporate D&B's global business information directly into their analytic applications. By enriching and updating their existing data with D&B business information, users of the Informatica Customer Relationship Analytics (CRA) application can help maximize the effectiveness of CRM analytics, and engage in more accurate customer targeting, segmentation and risk management.

“Today's announcement underscores Informatica's strong commitment to customer data quality and third-party data enrichment,” said Girish Pancha, senior vice president of products at Informatica. “The marriage of Informatica Applications with the wealth of D&B's industry data enables us to offer more comprehensive data quality and enrichment solutions-solutions that will help our customers enhance their competitiveness and profitability through a clearer understanding of their own customers and prospects.”

Through this agreement, Informatica will integrate D&B's D-U-N-S® Number and Customer Information Management Solutions into the Informatica CRA application. The D-U-N-S Number is a unique numeric identifier of business entities that is used to identify tens of millions of corporate parents, subsidiaries, headquarters and branches worldwide. “Informatica will enhance its CRA application with our Customer Information Management Solutions to enrich the view of the customer,” said Tino Kokkinos, vice president, sales and marketing solutions, D&B. “This relationship extends the reach of the D&B brand, and will provide Informatica customers with the ability to create an enterprise customer view -necessary for developing superior customer insight and confident decision making.”
