Informatica Extends Relationship With IBM To Japan
Collaboration will enable marketing and selling of comprehensive data integration solutions in Japan
TOKYO and REDWOOD CITY, Calif.,
July 12, 2004—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that it will jointly integrate, market and sell comprehensive data integration solutions with IBM in Japan. The relationship will expand Informatica's reach in the second-largest economy in the world, and will help enable Japanese customers to speed development, increase effectiveness and reduce the cost of their data integration solutions.
Comprehensive data integration solutions from Informatica and IBM will help empower Japanese customers to more efficiently utilize their full range of information assets, deliver comprehensive visibility to wider sets of knowledge workers, and respond more quickly and intelligently to business opportunities and change.

As part of the agreement, Informatica KK will train IBM Japan sales personnel on the Informatica products. The agreement for Japan further strengthens the existing global sales and marketing relationship between Informatica and IBM. Through this relationship, the companies jointly co-market and co-sell Informatica's comprehensive data integration software tightly integrated with IBM's industry-leading platform technologies, such as the IBM DB2 Universal Database, IBM DB2 Cube Views and IBM DB2 Information Integrator technologies; IBM WebSphere Internet infrastructure software; and the IBM eServer platforms.
Informatica's relationship with IBM Japan also builds upon Informatica's recently announced relationship with IBM EMEA. Informatica joined IBM's ISV Advantage Initiative to help support the needs of EMEA small and medium business customers in the insurance and financial services sectors.
