Global data integration conference to feature influential author Geoffrey Moore, leading industry analysts, and executives from Accenture, HP, IBM and Siebel Systems

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 9, 2005—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today introduced the agenda for Informatica World 2005, the company's seventh-annual worldwide customer and partner conference.  Taking place from June 5-7 in Washington, D.C., this year's conference will feature a broad range of presentations, breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, and pre- and post-conference educational events.

Informatica president and CEO Sohaib Abbasi will open the conference with a presentation titled "The Next Wave in Data Integration: Enabling the Virtual Enterprise." In this discussion, Abbasi will highlight IT's growing imperative to manage data fragmentation within and beyond the enterprise in the face of outsourcing, and outline how Informatica can help organizations reduce the complexity of data integration in these environments to enable the virtual enterprise.

Also presenting at the event will be special guest speaker Geoffrey Moore, author of the influential business books "Crossing the Chasm," "Inside the Tornado" and "Living on the Fault Line," who will discuss next-generation strategies in enterprise IT.

Additional keynote presenters will include prominent Gartner analysts Frank Buytendijk and Ted Friedman; Royce Bell, partner at Accenture; Craig Flower, vice president and group information officer for worldwide eBusiness and customer operations at HP; Mike Schroeck, IBM Business Consulting Services' business intelligence global leader; and Lawrence Barbetta, senior vice president and general manager of Siebel Business Analytics.

“Informatica’s seventh-annual conference will be one of the largest gatherings of leading visionaries, experts and practitioners in the data integration market.  The collective knowledge at this event – both academic and experiential – will provide an extremely valuable educational resource for our customers and partners to help them master the latest technology and learn about driving business trends,” said Sohaib Abbasi, president and CEO of Informatica. “Informatica World also offers an invaluable networking forum as attendees can gain from the insights and experiences of leading organizations from around the world."

In addition to the keynote presentations, attendees will be able to choose from more than 25 interactive breakout sessions across six tracks: Data Integration, Technology Trends, Best Practices, Integration Competency Centers, Customer Success and Government Integration Strategies.  Additionally, more than 30 solution demonstrations will take place at the Informatica World 2005 Partner Fair.  Throughout the conference, customers can also bring their questions to Informatica experts from the support, services and product management organizations at the Informatica Hands-on Lab.

Pre-conference education will feature a full-day workshop with renowned author and architect Dr. Ralph Kimball, and an industry panel discussion on the trends and technologies driving enterprise data integration and data management.  Post-conference education is also available, and will provide Informatica-specific training across a range of important topics.
