Informatica Number One For Enterprise Data Integration, Say Readers Of DM Review

Poll representing 75,000 IT experts ranks Informatica highest for product quality and customer satisfaction

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 24, 2005—For the second year in a row, readers of DM Review magazine have named Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA) the industry’s top vendor in enterprise data integration. Informatica was awarded the prestigious DM Review 2005 Readership Award by subscribers who were asked to rank vendors on the quality of products used in their organizations and their satisfaction with those products.

“Comprising an informed and influential set of IT decision-makers, DM Review subscribers have experienced firsthand the increasingly mission-critical role of enterprise data integration,” said Mary Jo Nott, editor in chief of DM Review. “The survey shows that many of the respondents have come to rely on Informatica and continue to be highly satisfied with that choice. Once again, we heartily congratulate Informatica for its success in addressing the complex data integration challenges facing DM Review’s readership.”

“It is always an honor to be singled out by the readers of DM Review, who represent some of the most experienced and forward-looking individuals in corporate leadership and the IT profession across all industries,” said Karen Steele, vice president of corporate marketing at Informatica. “Winning this important award for the second year running not only underscores the broad capabilities of the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform, but is also a validation of Informatica’s vision and product roadmap for the future of enterprise data integration.”

Earlier this month, Informatica was similarly voted the number-one data integration vendor for the third year in a row by the subscribers of Intelligent Enterprise magazine—making for a two-year successive sweep of the industry’s most prominent annual readers’ choice awards for data integration leadership.

Each year, DM Review enlists a research firm to poll readers to determine the top companies serving the technology needs of the data integration community in specific market segments. This year, The Gantry Group, LLC, a Massachusetts-based strategic advisory and research firm, conducted an independent survey of DM Review readers from early-May through mid-September 2005. The survey divided software solutions into nine categories and asked respondents to rate the vendors of those solutions based on the quality of the products in use in their organizations and their level of customer satisfaction. The ratings were based on a four-point scale from excellent to poor.
