Training Courses - Delivery Options
Informatica currently delivers training courses based on four (4) different delivery methods: 1) Public Instructor-led Training (ILT), 2) Onsite ILT, 3) Virtual Academy ILT and 4) eLearning (self-paced). All Informatica ILT offerings are scheduled events. Public ILT offers training for Passport Holders (as defined below) at an Informatica training facility. Onsite ILT is offered by Informatica instructors to Passport Holders at their sites, using Passport Holder equipment and facilities which allows for training of Passport Holder employees at its own familiar site. Virtual Academy ILT offers training for Passport Holders at a location of their choosing (home or office) using a standard browser; no special setup or other software installation required. Informatica eLearning offerings are self-paced training via a standard browser. These delivery options are described in more detail on the Pricing page.
Informatica Global Education Services Corporate Passport
The Informatica Global Education Services Corporate Passport (“Corporate Passport”) is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase (“Term”) and is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be combined with other discounts, offers or promotions. The Corporate Passport entitles employees and independent contractors of its corporate purchaser (the “Passport Holder”) to attend the purchased number of training days (each, “Training Day”) during the Term via any of the above aforementioned delivery options.
Attending Classes
The Corporate Passport entitles the Passport Holder to attend Informatica training as provided in Informatica then-current North America standard education catalog in effect at the time the Passport Holder registers for training. The Corporate Passport may be used only by employees or independent contractors of the Passport Holder while he/she is employed by or under contract with the Passport Holder. When registering for a Training Day, the Passport Holder must identify himself/herself by providing his/her Informatica Education Corporate Passport Voucher (“Voucher”) number.
Corporate Passports purchased with United States currency are valid for use at any designated Informatica training center location in North America. The Corporate Passport may also be used for onsite training anywhere in North America. However, the Corporate Passport is valid only for training offered directly by Informatica, and not to training offered by an Informatica authorized training partner.
The Passport Holder may use the Corporate Passport to acquire Informatica education courses of equal or lesser value (as specified in Informatica then-current in-country standard education services catalog) to the number of unused Training Days available. The Corporate Passport may not be used as partial payment for any education services, e.g., if the applicable charge for an education course is greater than the unused Training Days connected with a particular Corporate Passport, such Training Days may not be applied against such education course. The Passport Holder shall be responsible for all travel or out-of-pocket expenses incurred by its personnel in attending any Informatica education courses.
Corporate/Enterprise Passport Training Days and Training Credits
Informatica Global Education Services prices its courses using Training Credits. A Corporate Passport is purchased for a specified number of Training Days. Thus, when using the Corporate Passport, each Training Day will be converted to Training Credits at a one to ten conversion rate (1 Training Day = 10 Training Credits). For example, one (1) Public ILT Day requires ten (10) Training Credits per student, no further conversion is required. However, one Onsite ILT Day is not equivalent to one Public ILT Day and requires seventy-five (75) training credits. Please review the Global Education Services Price Schedule or consult your Informatica training coordinator for current conversion factor pricing.
Any employee or independent contractor of a Corporate Passport Holder may use the Corporate Passport to attend a class, provided always that the applicable number of Training Days/Training Credits will be deducted from the Corporate Passport for each employee/independent contractor attending a class.
Cancellation/Reschedule Policy
In the event a Passport Holder, or any employee of a Passport Holder, registers for but does not attend a course and fails to cancel or reschedule in accordance with the Informatica Education Cancellation/Reschedule Policy the applicable number of Training Days shall be deducted from the Passport. Please refer to the Informatica Education Cancellation/Reschedule Policy for further information.
Termination
All Passports, Training Days, and Training Credits expire twelve (12) months after the date of purchase.
At the end of the applicable Term of any Corporate Passport, any remaining, pre-paid unused Training Days under that specific Passport will expire. No refunds will be provided to a Passport Holder based on any remaining, pre-paid, unused Training Days.
All classes must be registered and attended during the Term; provided, however, if Informatica Education cancels and reschedules a class past the expiration date of the Term, the Passport Holder may use the applicable Corporate Passport for such class.
Course Availability
All education courses and registration are subject to space availability. Please consult your Informatica training coordinator for a current education services quote for any available training courses.
Other Terms and Conditions
All other Informatica Global Education Services standard policies concerning the delivery of education services apply, including, without limitation, limits on the maximum class size for Onsite ILT. Please see the Pricing page for these policies.
