Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced the appointment of Paul J. Hoffman as executive vice president of worldwide sales. A seasoned executive with experience leading worldwide software sales organizations, Hoffman will lead Informatica's sales organization across the Americas, EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Japan. Hoffman will report directly to Informatica CEO Sohaib Abbasi.

Hoffman joins Informatica from Cassatt Corporation, an infrastructure software company, where he served as the executive vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for building the global sales and alliances organization.
Prior to Cassatt, Hoffman was president of the Americas sales and field operations organization at SeeBeyond Technology Corporation for more than four years. At SeeBeyond, Hoffman grew revenues considerably while helping the company expand beyond the healthcare market into a major supplier of Enterprise Application Integration solutions to the Fortune 500.
He previously served as vice president of worldwide sales at Documentum, the global leader in document and content management solutions. While at Documentum, Hoffman helped grow the company's revenues by nearly 300 percent.
Hoffman also spent ten years at Oracle Corporation in senior sales-management and executive-level positions, including the vice president of worldwide operations. Reporting to Oracle's president and COO, Hoffman was responsible for helping globalize the company across four geographic regions and seven lines of business. In this role, he was responsible for all global aspects of sales operations, including business practices, sales models, compensation and global accounts programs.
Earlier in his career, he held various sales and sales management positions at Comshare, Artificial Intelligence Corporation, the Service Bureau Corporation and Shields & Company.
Hoffman received his bachelor of science degree in finance from Fairfield University.
