PowerCenter Data Integration Certification
Informatica PowerCenter serves as the foundation for all enterprise data integration. With PowerCenter Data Integration Certification, you increase your value in data governance, data migration, and enterprise data warehousing projects
There are three levels of PowerCenter Data Integration Certification to correlate with the "what, how, and why" of Informatica product implementations:
- Associate. You undertake Informatica product training and pass a written exam, proctored in person or via Webcam. As an Associate, you understand the product (the what) and can contribute to a project as a junior team member.
- Professional. Following field experience, you take a proctored, high-stakes performance exam in a physical or virtual proctored environment, successfully applying Informatica technology to solve a particular problem (the how). When you pass this exam, you are an Informatica Certified Professional and qualified to contribute to a project team as a full team member.
- Expert. As an Informatica Certified Professional, you aspire to the highest level of product knowledge and elect to undertake Informatica Velocity Best Practices Training and Certification (the why).
PowerCenter, Data Integration Associate (ICA) Level Exams
ICA PowerCenter, Data Integration Administrator
This exam measures your competency across installation and configuration, transformations, and Velocity best practices as a junior member of a project implementation team. We recommend that you prepare by attending this course:
- Informatica 9.x PowerCenter Administration.
ICA PowerCenter, Data Integration Developer
This exam measures your competency as a junior team member in a project implementation team. You should be able to import sources, targets and lookups, put together slowly changing dimension mappings to incorporate best practices, craft reusable transformations and mapplets, incorporate reusability using shortcuts, be able to use the debugger to competently debug a mapping with or without a prebuilt session and workflow, and execute and monitor the session and workflow. We recommend that you prepare by attending these courses:
- PowerCenter 9.x Level 1 Developer
- PowerCenter 9.x Level 2 Developer

These exams measure your ability to contribute as a full team member in a project implementation. It is a high-stakes, lab-based performance exam combined with cost-effective anytime, anywhere proctored exam delivery.
