Gartner Positions Informatica as a Leader Based on "Ability to Execute" and "Completeness of Vision"
Magic Quadrant for
Data Integration Tools
For the seventh year in a row, Informatica has been positioned as a leader in Gartner's Data Integration Tools Magic Quadrant. Says Todd Goldman, vice president and general manager of Data Integration and Data Quality at Informatica: "Informatica continues to lead the data integration market with innovative solutions such as Vibe, the first embeddable virtual data machine." We believe Gartner's recognition of Informatica as a leader offers further proof of Informatica's continued commitment to customers to deliver products and solutions that advance their business objectives and unlock their data potential.
Gartner's 2013 Data Integration Magic Quadrant report defines leaders as "front-runners in the convergence of single-purpose tools into an offering that supports a range of data delivery styles. Vendors are strong in the more traditional data integration patterns. They also support newer patterns and provide capabilities that enable data services in the context of SOA. Leaders have significant mindshare in the market, and resources who are skilled with their tools are readily available. These vendors establish market trends to a large degree by providing new functional capabilities in their products, and by identifying new types of business problems to which data integration tools can bring significant value. Examples of deployments that span multiple projects and types of use cases are common among leaders' customers."
