The results of the employee survey were spotlighted in the June 20 edition of the Bay Area News Group’s newspapers, which include the San Jose Mercury News, Contra Costa Times, Oakland Tribune and San Mateo County Times. The results of the survey will appear again in the Jobs, Careers & Education section on Sunday, June 27.
“Informatica, founded 17 years ago in the Bay Area, has grown to be a $500 million plus company with more than 4,000 customers and is fast approaching 2,000 employees around the globe,” said Jo Stoner, senior vice president, Human Resources, Informatica. “Guided by our founding core values and principles, the continued financial success and expansion of the company are a testament to our exceptional employees. Informatica fosters a culture that is committed to accelerating innovation and driving customer success. This means Informatica employees work on an exciting range of technologies and are rewarded for outstanding achievements.”
Stoner continued, “Informatica employees are passionate about what they do and believe in working together for success. This collaborative environment makes Informatica a unique place to work. Our survey ranking shows that Informatica is truly a top employer in the Silicon Valley and is a company where Bay Area employees want to be today and in the future.”
The rankings in the Top Work Places are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. 60 finalists were named out of the 1,200 asked to participate, including 10 large companies, 15 midsize companies and 35 small companies. The rankings were determined after surveys were submitted by employees. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility and values and ethics. Private companies and non-profits as well as publicly held businesses were included in the analysis.
Mac Tully, group vice president, Bay Area News Group Newspapers, said, “Despite the challenges of the economy, the Bay Area continues to set the standard for progressive companies such as Informatica which provide positive, enriching work experiences for their employees.”
