Extraordinary Informatica Customers Receive 2017 Awards for Excellence in Data Disruption

Inaugural Annual Awards Program honours data-driven organisations that effectively unleash the power of data to transform their businesses

SYDNEY, 10 November, 2017 – Informatica®, the world's leading Enterprise Cloud Data Management company, today announced the winners of the Inaugural Informatica Data Disruption Innovation Awards. These prestigious awards were given to four organisations during Data Disruption Summit in Sydney on 25th and in Melbourne on 27th October. These awards recognise organisations that demonstrate vision, creativity and leadership in the use of Informatica solutions to transform business through data.

Nominations for Informatica Innovation Awards are judged on multiple criteria, including transformational impact, creativity and innovation, leverage and scope, complexity, and environmental or social impact. This year’s winners have unleashed the power of data to create major impacts, conquer new challenges and create platforms to explore transformative innovation – benefiting not just themselves but their wider industries.

The 2017 Data Disruption Awards winners are:

  • IP Australia – Recipient of the Data Delivers Digital Transformation Award for Putting customer data at the centre, IP Australia has achieved tremendous results integrating Informatica solutions across the agency to drive customer-centric services, and ensuring an integrative approach.
  • Cleanaway – The national recycling, waste management and industrial services company used Informatica to power business-critical integrations in real-time to provide consistent best-of-breed customer service. The company received the Data Powers Decisions Award in recognition of its use of data to drive intelligent decisions which cements Cleanaway’s role as critical infrastructure provider in sustainability solutions for the Australian environment.
  • Kmart Australia – The national retailer won the Data Powers Efficiency & Growth Award. Kmart transformed its online business by using Informatica’s solutions to digitise its product offering, halving its own timeline by embracing digital disruption. By meeting this aggressive timeline, the company not only reaped financial rewards, but also enabled its team members to focus on value-add tasks and meet the customer-experience demands of the online shopper.
