Rotterdam University, in partnership with Informatica, is helping enhance data skills for its Applied Data Science and AI bachelor’s degree students. This collaborative project has prepared them to address real-world challenges and contribute innovatively to the scientific and global community through advanced data analytics.

Challenge:
The University sought to equip Applied Data Science and AI students with skills to address real-world data challenges.
Solution
Through a partnership with Informatica, the university provided students with 100 Informatica IPUs to conduct deep data analysis on 20 million records from 20 years of prenatal care data in the Netherlands.
Results
The students’ findings will greatly benefit the scientific community by enhancing prenatal care understanding and practices. It also makes a tangible, positive social impact by potentially improving community-wide prenatal care outcomes.
