Informatica Positioned In The Leaders Quadrant For Data Integration Tools

Leading Analyst Firm Recognizes Ability To Execute and Completeness Of Vision

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 31, 2011 -

Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the world’s number one independent provider of data integration software, announced that Gartner, Inc. has positioned Informatica in the leaders quadrant in the 2011 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools report.1 In August 2011, Informatica was also positioned in the leaders’ quadrant in the 2011 Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools report.2  In October 2010, Informatica was also positioned in the leaders’ quadrant in the Master Data Management of Customer Data Integration report.3  The complete Data Integration Tools report, including the quadrant graphic, is available on the Informatica web site at http://www.informatica.com/di_mq/.

According to the authors of the new report, “Demand for data integration tools is growing to support the acquisition alignment and sharing of data, which is now extreme in its volume, variety and velocity. The market still favors offerings that offer fast time-to-value, enable enterprise scalability and support multiple data delivery styles.”

Gartner stated that, “Leaders in the data integration tools market are frontrunners in the convergence of single-purpose tools into an offering that supports a range of data delivery styles. These vendors are strong in the more traditional data integration patterns. They also support newer patterns and provide capabilities that enable data services in the context of SOA. Leaders have significant mind share in the market, and resources that are skilled in their tools are readily available. These vendors establish market trends, to a large degree, by providing new functional capabilities in their products, and by identifying new types of business problems where data integration tools can bring significant value. Examples of deployments that span multiple projects and types of use case are common among Leaders’ customers.”
