Informatica Awarded a Place on UK Government’s G-Cloud 9 Framework

Informatica Strengthens Presence in Public Sector by Offering Comprehensive Intelligent Data Platform On Government Purchasing Framework

London, UK, July 27, 2017 – Informatica, the world leader in enterprise cloud data management accelerating data-driven digital transformation, today announced that it has been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) G-Cloud 9 framework for the third year running.

The G-Cloud 9 framework allows suppliers and contractors to bid for government contracts for cloud-based services, without participating in lengthy tenders. By providing public sector organisations with industry-leading data management solutions in the cloud, Informatica is helping support the Government’s mandate that all public sector organisations should consider cloud first when procuring new services.

Informatica’s inclusion on the G-Cloud 9 framework enables public sector organisations to purchase and implement within a matter of weeks, avoiding lengthy approvals processes. The Informatica solutions are available on both Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. Informatica supports cloud, on-premises and hybrid models, increasing ease-of-access and enabling organisations to use them across multiple locations and devices.

Informatica’s solutions can help public sector organisations make the most of their information assets and govern them wherever they reside, using tools built on the Informatica Intelligent Data Platform - an integrated platform combining award-winning Informatica products and data solutions for cloud data management, big data management, data integration, master data management, data quality and governance, and data security. It is the most complete, modular, and scalable data management platform available.

The Intelligent Data Platform includes the CLAIRE engine, Informatica’s advanced metadata-driven Artificial Intelligence technology. CLAIRE applies machine learning to metadata across the entire enterprise and the cloud. It will enable users to locate, govern and analyse all relevant data in their systems, driving more intelligent decision-making and rapid regulatory compliance.

Informatica will also provide cloud-based data governance tools through the framework to help users quickly map data, bring it into one place and determine its risk level. With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance deadline now less than a year away, it’s more important than ever for public sector organisations to have a comprehensive view over the data they hold and how it proliferates across systems.

“The G-Cloud framework is making it easier for the public sector to get access to the tools it needs to manage ever-increasing volumes of data,” commented Greg Hanson, vice president Cloud EMEA at Informatica. “We’re thrilled to be a part of that, and look forward to helping organisations in the space make the most of their information assets, whether in the cloud, on premise or in a hybrid environment. In an increasingly connected culture, public sector organisations need to be able to get a comprehensive view over all their data, wherever it resides. Only then will they be able to optimise their decision-making processes and monitor and protect sensitive data. Informatica is uniquely placed to make that goal a reality.”
