Business Need

Owing to the lack of a sophisticated IT infrastructure, community banks and credit unions were reliant on slow, labor-intensive paper-based processes and point solutions to manage their customer loan portfolios.

nCino helps these banks to streamline and automate their loan management process across the lifecycle—CRM, loan origination, workflow, content management and reporting.

It was imperative that any loan origination process adhered to compliance rules and reduced risk, while simultaneously identifying new revenue opportunities.

nCino and the banks looked to a cloud-based integration solution to exploit low cost, rapid deployment.

Challenges

nCino needed to integrate loan data from an assortment of core banking platforms (FIS, Jack Henry, etc.), formats and IT platforms into the nCino Bank Operating System (BOS), based on the Force.com platform.

It was important for customer, loan and other confidential data to remain behind the bank firewall for security purposes.

nCino is increasing the banks’ operational efficiency, reducing the loan origination and closing time by more than 30%.

The Informatica Cloud iPaaS solution is embedded within the nCino application using REST APIs to help banks onboard new customers quickly onto the company’s platform.

Customer onboarding time has been reduced from weeks to potentially days, based on integration templates which have standardized the process.

In one year, nCino doubled its customer base, and saved up to $500,000 in reduced development resources.
