The agentic revolution is transforming every business, but fragmented data still costs organizations time, money and trust. Agents will fail if the data driving them is incomplete, inconsistent or incorrect. Meanwhile, the enterprises that succeed will be those that drive meaningful actions by connecting AI agents to trusted data. Informatica’s Intelligence Data Management Cloud Spring 2026 release features innovation designed for exactly that moment. Marking the first major IDMC release since Informatica joined Salesforce, new capabilities deliver on the vision of activating enterprise data for trusted context — giving AI agents the accurate, unified and governed data they need to drive business outcomes with confidence.
Let's explore what's new.
Move faster with AI-powered data management
AI-powered data management boosts productivity by cutting the effort your teams spend preparing trusted data and managing the pipelines that move it.
Poor data quality is the single greatest inhibitor of AI adoption and speed in the enterprise. Defining rules, fixing issues and maintaining standards manually creates massive friction and stalls every AI project. The CLAIRE® Data Quality Agent — now generally available after a successful preview — allows both technical and business users to define data quality rules with natural language, automatically generate logic and resolve issues faster. Instead of an analyst waiting weeks for a data engineer to write a SQL rule, they can describe trusted data in their own words and let CLAIRE® generate the logic instantly, ensuring that the data powering your AI and business processes is accurate and reliable.
Cloud Data Integration users can now also manage data quality directly in CDI. Embedding quality checks within data flows helps teams catch and correct errors early, without switching between tools.
In MDM, three new features provide insights and actions to accelerate stewardship tasks:
- Interactive Visualizations give clear visual timelines of record evolution — including merges, unmerges and key changes — with zoom, filters and event-type exploration to quickly pinpoint what matters.
- CLAIRE® Copilot for Data Stewards brings AI-guided assistance directly into MDM SaaS, surfacing relevant records, recommended actions and match insights so that stewards can explore Business Entity records, relationships and attributes with natural language queries and resolve issues faster.
- Workflow Builder — new, and currently available in public preview — introduces a no-code designer for approval and enrichment flows, with bulk actions, built-in collaboration features and full audit history to accelerate high-volume stewardship.
MDM users can also try out the CLAIRE® Product Experience Management (PXM) Agent to streamline their work, automatically classifying products into the right hierarchy and enriching records using World Knowledge. This agent ensures consistent product information across sales, marketing and e-commerce without the old manual effort.
In Cloud Data Governance & Catalog, Personalized Lineage delivers highly relevant, customized lineage views that are easy to understand. Users can create and save multiple personalized lineage views, filter on what matters most, and switch between them with a single click. Improved Workflows in CDGC add rule-based workflow triggers and bulk approvals for responsive, scalable governance across the enterprise.
Making data management available everywhere
AI agent development is quicker, easier, more accurate, and impactful when teams are empowered to connect agents with data management capabilities.
To power the agentic enterprise, data management should be portable and available across the entire ecosystem, with its core logic decoupled from a single user interface. Headless access is the required architectural pivot. IDMC will support users with headless data management capabilities that fuel both human and agentic workflows.
Comprehensive MCP Support transforms existing data management assets in IDMC into powerful, context-aware AI tools. Using Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the new standard for AI connectivity — organizations can now expose IDMC functionality across data governance, data quality, MDM, and data integration as MCP servers with no-code configuration. AI agents can discover and consume trusted enterprise data automatically, with intelligent metadata providing semantic understanding. Users can turn years of IDMC investment into immediate AI value by deploying their existing automations as custom MCP servers.
New AI Recipes will help teams automate processes with pre-built and reusable components. Recipes include agents for Customer Support Case Processing and Multifunction Calling using Azure OpenAI, plus Slack and Teams message handlers that trigger agents and workflows directly from the tools your teams already use.
Activate context with Salesforce and Informatica
Salesforce and Informatica are on a mission to unify the entire enterprise, connecting data across every system to power accurate, real-time action. By bridging the gap between back-office data and front-office engagement, we help businesses ensure every AI-driven decision is not only fast, but rooted in accurate data, comprehensive context and consistent policies that you can trust to get the job done. With deeper integration to Salesforce, IDMC takes trusted, governed, AI-ready data to the heart of the world's leading agentic enterprises.to apply at scale.
Fragmented data blocks AI success. The new Data 360 Connector automates ingestion from any source into Salesforce Data 360, unifying profiles and powering smarter, more personalized AI. Two-way synchronization, Automated change detection, batch and real-time ingestion, and secure OAuth connectivity help organizations build a unified profile for every customer and power agents with accurate and current context from around the enterprise.
"As Customer Zero, we live with the same data challenges our customers do — siloed systems, slow pipelines and latency that means decisions could be made on yesterday's data. The Informatica Data 360 Connector closes that gap, cutting through pipeline latency and giving every team a faster, more reliable connection to the enterprise data that drives decisions. When your data ecosystem moves at the speed of your business, everything gets sharper." - Janani Narayanan, VP Product Management, Salesforce
New Scanners for Salesforce Data 360 and Agentforce Marketing extend data lineage and cataloging across the Salesforce ecosystem, covering Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, Identity Resolution, Calculated Insights and core Salesforce Marketing Cloud assets such as attribute groups, populations and journeys.
Finally, the new Policy Pushdown for Tableau enforces access controls on Tableau tables with scalable, context-aware policies that extend consistent data governance to the point of analytics consumption.
Proceed with Confidence
New capabilities in the Spring 2026 IDMC release give every enterprise a strong foundation to build in the agentic era: trusted, connected, AI-ready data delivered with the governance and confidence that agentic AI demands.
All these upgrades are generally available to Informatica customers now, except the MDM Workflow Builder and PXM Agent, which are available to all users in a public preview.
Whether your priority is accelerating AI agent development, boosting team productivity or deepening your Salesforce integration, these innovations are built to help you innovate faster, operate smarter and build AI systems your business can trust.
