Informatica Cloud and Informatica Data Services (IDS) Named CODiE Award Finalists

Informatica Cloud and Informatica Data Services (IDS) have been named finalists in the Software & Information Industry Association's 27th Annual CODiE Awards for Best Cloud Infrastructure and Best Integration Solution, respectively. In the annual industry peer-review awards, Informatica has been recognized for its outstanding achievement, innovation and vision in the software and information industry. Winners of the CODiE Awards will be recognized at a special event on May 10, 2012, during the All About the Cloud conference in San Francisco. For 27 years, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose – to showcase the software and information industry's finest products and services and to honor excellence in corporate achievement.

Informatica Dynamic Data Masking Wins Most Innovative Security Product of the Year

Info Security Products Guide, the industry's leading information security research and advisory guide, has named Informatica Dynamic Data Maskingthe Most Innovative Security (Software) Product of the Year in the 2012 Global Excellence Awards. Informatica Cloud Customer Support Team Wins Stevie Award for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year

The Informatica Cloud Customer Support team was named a Bronze Winner for the 2012 Front-Line Customer Support Team of the Year – Computer Hardware, Software, or Services, in the sixth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. Informatica Cloud Customer Support was given this honor as a result of its unique ability to successfully blend direct high-touch support and customer success management.

The awards honor organizations that display outstanding performance in the workplace. The awards give customer service and sales professionals the opportunity to be recognized for the results they achieve every day for their customers. Informatica Dynamic Data Masking Named Finalist in 2012 SC Magazine Awards Europe

Informatica Dynamic Data Masking products dynamically mask sensitive production data from unauthorized access and permanently and irreversibly mask nonproduction data. IT organizations can comply with data privacy regulations and organization-wide data privacy mandates and can reduce the risk of a data breach.

2011 Teradata Epic Awards

Informatica was selected as the winner of the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner Award for Collaborative Revenue Contribution for the company's excellence in helping Teradata expand its market coverage. Informatica was recognized as the ISV partner who influenced the largest year-over-year incremental revenue growth for Teradata, expanding its presence in over 20 accounts.

Now in its fourth year, the Teradata Epic Awards program recognizes extraordinary innovations from Teradata customers and partners that use data to create, capture and return equity to their organizations. Their solutions provide business insights and create competitive advantage.

2011 TechAmerica David Packard Innovator Awards

Ron Papas, general manager, Informatica Cloud, has won the 2011 Innovator Award in the Cloud Computing and E-Commerce category at the 53rd Annual David Packard Medal of Achievement and Innovator Awards. Mr. Papas was selected for his leadership in developing and delivering Informatica Cloud, an award-winning, multi-tenant, cloud-based data integration service, which now processes over 20 billion transactions and runs over three million integration jobs per month.

Since 1959, TechAmerica has awarded the David Packard Medal of Achievement, their highest award, to honor significant lifetime contributors and pioneers of the high-tech industry. To honor current leaders for their contributions to the technology industry, TechAmerica added the Innovator Awards.

2011 Innovative Solution Award

This award recognizes initiatives that bring constructive change and provide quantifiable business value in organizations working to manage information as an asset. The winning submissions demonstrated a unique combination of circumstances, ideas and technology that successfully and creatively addressed a business pain point.

Station Casinos is using the Informatica Platform to integrate data from customers, gaming and financial metrics, based on a Teradata data warehouse and reporting from Cognos. The Informatica solution pulls information from as many as 500 heterogeneous legacy sources, without developing new data access programs or impacting mission-critical systems. The resulting information provides deeper, diverse marketing and sales information to provide richer, more targeted customer experiences.

According to Julie Langenkamp editor-in-chief, Information Management, "This is a powerful solution, incorporating data integration and data quality to yield an enterprise-wide information supply chain."

Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal's 2011 CFO of the Year Awards

Earl Fry has been named a finalist in the 2011 Large Public Company (Above $500 million annual revenue)

The top finance executives in Silicon Valley were honored at the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal's annual CFO of the Year awards Thursday night.

2011 Ventana Research Leadership Awards

Earl Fry has won the Leadership award for Chief Financial Officer in the 2011 Ventana Research Leadership Awards for his sponsorship and leadership around the Informatica Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Investor Relations tracking system. Leveraging technology from Ipreo, Informatica implemented the solution to enable the company to identify and track interactions with investors and profile and analyze its investor base. Consequently, executive and investor relations teams have a far more efficient process for sharing information, have developed better insights and have been able to translate those insights into a more diversified shareholder base.

Tony Young has won the Leadership award for IT Performance Management in the 2011 Ventana Research Leadership Awards for spearheading a master data management (MDM) initiative. Leveraging Delphix technology, the initiative has enabled Informatica to correlate and synchronize customer data in order to improve customer service and help sales create more value out of customer interactions. The resulting 360-degree view of customer and prospect interactions has led to more accurate lead routing, more targeted and successful marketing efforts and increased revenues.

Utah Department of Health was recognized for Leadership in Information Management in the 2011 Ventana Research Leadership Awards.

Utah Department of Health, with its All Payer Claims Database program to track the cost and quality of medical care, created a seamless data collection/access/analysis environment around healthcare data in the entire state of Utah. The Informatica Platform was used to design and power the linking elements of the database, including ensuring the quality of the data and protecting patient privacy.

Informatica Named to Forbes' 100 Best Small Companies in America

Informatica has been listed on the Forbes' 100 Best Small Companies in America. The annual rankings are based on earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity during the past 12 months and over five years. Forbes also factors in stock performance versus each company's peer group. Of the 100 Best Small Companies in America, Informatica ranked in the number 66 spot. The Forbes Best Small Companies must generate annual revenue under $1 billion. Forbes notes in the rankings that, "Even in the toughest of times, the best companies—small and large—find a way."

2011 CRM Market Winner

In the 10th annual CRM Market Leaders Awards, Informatica has been recognized for its exemplary company direction and depth of functionality.

Beating out industry competition, "Informatica's data quality solution is often on the short list with our clients, even if they are not an Informatica shop," Ray Wang, Constellation Research says. That's a pretty powerful statement that sums up Informatica's victory for the second consecutive year. In fact, in 2009, an analyst proclaimed that the company "will be hands-down [the one] to beat" in a year or two. Well, it's now been two years and it looks like Informatica doesn't plan to go anywhere soon. Scoring an impressive 4.3 for both company direction and depth of functionality and a 4.0 for customer satisfaction, Informatica was the clear winner in the data quality category this year. "I really like what Informatica is doing," Michael Fauscette, group vice president of software business solutions at IDC says. "Their developments are very interesting tools, and in some areas they might be a little ahead."

TDWI Best Practices Award 2011

Informatica customer Station Casinos has won the TDWI Best Practices Award for Right-Time BI. The awards are designed to identify and honor companies that have demonstrated excellence in developing, deploying, and maintaining Business Intelligence and DW applications. The nominated solutions were evaluated based on business impact, maturity, innovation, and relevance.

Station Casinos wanted a better understanding of customer activities and preferences and the ability to offer personalized incentives to increase its customer base. Station Casinos undertook an initiative to gather data from its 18 resorts and casinos and provide a 360-degree, real-time view of customer activities. The data would include all customer "touch points," including financial, gaming, hotel, food and beverage, and other data to understand customer trends, usage patterns, and the overall casino experience.

To get this level of detailed information, Station Casinos deployed the Informatica Platform, which provides the ability to access, clean, and deliver critical data in real time, including integrated customer, gaming, and finance information from as many as 500 heterogeneous sources and 9.2 million customer records.

J.P. Morgan - Finance Reconciliation Engine (FiRE)

J.P. Morgan recognized the challenges and limitations of trade vs. ledger reconciliations and needed to design a new system to enable shorter batch processing windows, performance enhancements and resiliency. In October 2010, LMAX launched a new multilateral trading facility (MTF). This unique trading platform provides an entirely new way for retail investors to trade contracts for difference (CFDs) and Foreign Exchange. Informatica Executives Named To 2011 Institutional Investor's All-America Software Executive Team.

Informatica chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), Sohaib Abbasi, was named one of the three top performing software company CEOs according to buy-side analysts, tying for number two CEO, Software.

Earl Fry, Informatica chief financial officer (CFO), chief accounting officer and executive vice president, Global Customer Support has won the coveted title of Best CFO, Software for the second year in a row in Institutional Investor's annual survey of financial analysts. Fry was rated number one by both buy- and sell-side analysts.

Stephanie Wakefield, vice president of Investor Relations, was named number two IR Professional, Software by buy-side analysts, who also rated Informatica number two in IR performance among public software companies.

The rankings reflect the opinions of nearly 1,300 buy- and sell-side analysts and investment professionals at more than 550 firms.

Salesforce Best Customer Choice 2010

Informatica Cloud was recognized for the third year in a row with a customer choice award for its product excellence and the highest levels of customer satisfaction amongst the data integration vendor community. Informatica received the Data Integration award for Informatica Cloud, its multitenant cloud service that automates Salesforce integration between other cloud-based as well as on-premise applications, databases and files.

Best of SaaS 2010

The program is aimed at promoting the measurable business benefits being delivered by today's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. Info Managment Innovative Solution 2010

Smith & Nephew launched an enterprise data governance initiative with the goals of maximizing supply chain efficiency, improving relationships with health care professionals and trading partners and driving accurate enterprise-wide reporting through improving and ensuring the quality of its data.

Informatica helped Smith & Nephew revolutionize the way the company thinks about data and how to apply it for competitive advantage. From concept to ROI, the implementation took less than 12 months.

Info Managment Innovative Solution 2010

U.S. Xpress needed to better manage vehicle idle time across a fleet of trucks, leading to improved customer service and millions of dollars in savings. U.S. Xpress found some data that had not been touched for seven years. The data governance solution, based on the Informatica Platform allows U.S. Xpress to profile the data, determine whether it is still relevant and then drop it into the company's master data management system. Implementation only took four and a half months. Now armed with visibility into how much time drivers were idling, U.S. Xpress cut the percentage of time its trucks stand idle from the high eighties to just over 50 percent. As a result, U.S. Xpress has been able to dramatically reduce vehicle idle time, ultimately saving the company millions of dollars annually including savings on fuel — equivalent to a return on investment in only three months.

Asia MIS Strategic 100

The Strategic 100 by MIS Asia highlights the 100 most strategically important vendors in the Asia Pacific region. It provides IT decision-makers with an unbiased and valuable reference tool, highlighting the vendor organisations they need to know about and watch.

MIS Asia appointed a total of 30 independent judges - 10 each from Asia, Australia and New Zealand. These IT veterans are CIOs, IT commentators, analysts and academics who have provided their expert and independent 'arms length' appraisal of the top 100 vendors. The Strategic 100 judging panel selected top vendor organizations based on five criteria: Industry leadership; products and services innovation; strategic roles in the global enterprise IT market; contribution to IT industry development, and financial performance in the past year.

Financial Review MIS Strategic 100 2010

MIS Australia publishes the annual MIS Strategic 100 which profiles the 100 most strategically relevant vendor organisations for CIOs. Broken into three sections – Global, Local and Rising Stars – the vendors are selected by a panel of CIOs and independent industry experts, with the profiles written by the MIS editorial team. "The 75 companies profiled in the following pages are ones CIOs cannot afford to ignore. They are the big players, that influence buying patterns around Australia and the rest of the world. They will be in CIOs' minds whenever they have potential purchasing decisions to make, no matter what their expertise. To qualify for the list, companies must have a significant presence in Australia and generate a large portion of their revenue from outside their domestic markets. Those selected were chosen by a panel of 30 judges from across the Asia-Pacific region."

ComputerWorld Enterprise Intelligence Winner 2010

Cabela's Inc. was recognized for its multi-channel data warehouse initiative and the creation of an analytical information framework that has improved advertising effectiveness, inventory and margin strategies. Cabela's initiated a sweep of its multi-channel databases to create a single version of all customer, sales, product, marketing and inventory data. The objective was aimed at process improvement. These efforts have improved the effectiveness of its advertising efforts, inventory position and margin strategies. More importantly, Cabela's has built an information framework that has been a valuable tool to the enterprise providing quantitative insights throughout the organization. Informatica and customer Carphone Warehouse has been named a medalist for the prestigious BCS Business Achievement Award in the Retail, Commercial & Manufacturing category. Carphone Warehouse made the final shortlist for successfully implementing the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform that enabled more rapid, reliable access to worldwide sales and call-detail information on a daily basis. Replacing a custom, hand-coded method for data integration, Informatica PowerCenter helped Carphone Warehouse streamline key business processes, improve cash-flow procedures and, ultimately, increase profitability.  The BCS is the industry body for IT professionals and a Chartered Engineering Institution for Information Technology.

Informatica, Teradata and Nationwide won the 2006 TDWI Best Practices Award in the Master Data Management category.
