Hands-on seminars to discuss proven methods for building successful
analytic solutions, ERP data warehousing implementations

PALO ALTO, Calif., February 16, 2000— In partnership with several key industry leaders, Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA) today launched two national workshop series designed to educate IT and business managers on methods for building and maintaining successful analytical solutions and incorporating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data into business analysis. Hosted by well-recognized experts in the data warehousing industry, both complimentary one-day workshops will provide attendees with a hands-on, interactive learning forum designed to increase their practical knowledge of valuable data warehousing solutions.

"Getting Business Insight Out of Your SAP™ R/3® Data"
Co-sponsored by H-P and endorsed by SAP, "Getting Insight Out of Your SAP R/3 Data" will teach attendees how to unlock data from their SAP R/3 systems to obtain business intelligence. Based on real-world examples, the workshop will demonstrate rapid deployment of a full spectrum of business intelligence approaches directly against application schemas, powerful analysis within data warehouse and data mart environments, and self-service information-access methods for IT users, customers, suppliers and partners.

Geared toward ERP managers, data warehouse project managers, line-of-business managers, senior business analysts and IT managers, the seminar series will be presented by Kevin McDonald, co-founder of Compendit, a company specializing in the implementation of data warehouses for ERP systems. McDonald was also recently director of new dimension technology at SAP America, where he was responsible for many aspects of the creation, product launch, and initial implementation of SAP's data warehousing product, SAP BW™.

"Getting Business Insight Out of Your SAP R/3 Data" will be held March 2 in Houston, March 7 in Boston and March 9 in San Francisco.
