Biotech company looks to centralize financial, manufacturing information for strategic analysis with Informatica PowerMart

PALO ALTO, Calif., July 12, 2000 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA) today announced that biotechnology company Genencor International has selected Informatica PowerMartŪ data-integration software to consolidate information across its global enterprise for analysis in order to improve the accuracy of trend forecasting and reduce labor costs.

"With Genencor's primary data centers located both in Belgium and the United States, the coordination of information exchanges across time zones is a challenge.
