LEADING SOFTWARE VENDORS, SYSTEMS INTEGRATORS CHOOSE INFORMATICA AS ANALYTIC PLATFORM OF CHOICE

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 29, 2000 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of eBusiness analytic software, today announced it has now signed OEM agreements with more than 30 major applications vendors and systems integrators who have incorporated Informatica's analytic platform into their solutions.

Industry-leading software vendors now embedding Informatica within their product solutions include:
  • PeopleSoft.The leader in pure Internet eBusiness applications for CRM, supply chain and enterprise management, PeopleSoft has integrated Informatica's PowerMart data integration software within the PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) eBusiness analytics suite. PeopleSoft's EPM eBusiness analytics deliver the insight companies can use to improve customer profitability, supplier effectiveness and employee potential in order to discover and capitalize on profitable opportunities.
  • Ariba. To enable customers of its Ariba Buyer e-procurement application to analyze transactional data to better identify trends and opportunities, Ariba is now offering an Informatica-based "purchasing analytics" solution to all Ariba Buyer customers. An Informatica-based analytic application for Ariba Marketplace is anticipated in the first quarter of 2001.
  • Kana Communications. Kana bundles Informatica PowerMart with Kana Connect, an electronic direct marketing solution that enables eBusinesses to proactively deliver individually targeted messages to increase the lifetime value of customers.   • Sybase. One of the largest independent software companies today, Sybase embeds Informatica PowerMart within Sybase Industry Warehouse Studio, the company's integrated set of analytic applications, data models and tools for building and managing enterprise business intelligence solutions, and resells PowerMart with Adaptive Server IQ with Multiplex, a high-performance database for business intelligence.
  • InterWorld Corporation. One of today's front-running e-commerce software vendors, InterWorld has bundled Informatica's data integration software within the InterWorld Commerce Intelligence application.
