INFORMATICA LAUNCHES WEB-BASED DEVELOPER NETWORK
 
Informatica Developer Network will propel rapid development of
add-on solutions to Informatica data integration and analytics platform
 
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 10, 2001—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of eBusiness analytic solutions, today announced it has launch the Informatica Developer Network, a global, Web-assisted program designed to help developers expand the business value of the Informatica data integration and analytics platform through innovative and compelling third-party add-ons.  Approximately 15,000 developers worldwide are experienced with Informatica products.

Coinciding with the launch of the Informatica Developer Network is the debut of a Web site designed to foster a community of leading developers and Informatica business and technical experts.  At http://devnet.informatica.com/, users will collaborate to accelerate the development and deployment of new-generation analytic solutions.  The Web site’s features include 24x7 electronic access to the latest Informatica software development toolkits, as well as partner showcases, discussion forums, interactive technical support, and documentation.

The Informatica Developer Network is supported by an advisory board comprised of leading analytic industry, software development and XML experts. Board members include Daniel Linstedt, chief technology officer of Core Integration and chairman of the Informatica Developer Network advisory board; Torstein Thorsen, chief technology officer of Component Software Norge AS; and Georg Hoevel, president and co-founder of Yaletown Technology Group.

The Informatica Developer Network is open to commercial developers and corporate developers within large user organizations.  Individual memberships are available at an annual fee of $500 with a sliding-scale cost for corporate members.  The fee covers access to the Web site, as well as regular software updates, technical support and training on the Informatica APIs.  To sign up, candidates must complete an online application located at http://devnet.informatica.com. All applications are subject to review.  Candidates will be notified within two weeks.
