RAY LANE TO PRESENT KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT INFORMATICA WORLD 2001

PALO ALTO, Calif., August 1, 2001 – Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of enterprise analytic software, today announced that Ray Lane, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and former president of Oracle, will be one of the keynote speakers at Informatica’s annual user conference, Informatica World 2001.  The theme of this year’s conference, which will take place October 21 to 24 in San Francisco, is “Powering Business Insight.”

    In his keynote address, Ray Lane will focus on the evolution of analytic technology solutions, how to further extend the benefits of analytics to the masses, and the current direction of the IT industry overall.  Also presenting keynote addresses at Informatica World will be Informatica CEO Gaurav Dhillon, Informatica President and COO Diaz Nesamoney, and Siebel Systems’ Executive Vice President David Schmaier.
