INFORMATICA NAMED SILICON VALLEY'S 22nd FASTEST-GROWING TECHNOLOGY COMPANY BY DELOITTE & TOUCHE
 
7,379% revenue growth since 1996 puts Informatica among “Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50”

 
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., September 20, 2001 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of enterprise analytic software, today announced it was named the 22nd fastest-growing technology company in Deloitte & Touche's “Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50” program, a ranking of the fastest-growing technology companies in the area. Rankings were based on companies' revenue growth percentages from 1996 to 2000, during which period Informatica reported 7,739 percent revenue growth.

The average growth for companies in the '2001 Silicon Valley Fast 50' is 16,522 percent, which more than doubled the last year's average of 7,142 percent for all 'Fast 50' companies in the region.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1996 and at least $1 million in 2000, must be public or private companies headquartered in Silicon Valley, and must be “technology companies,” defined as companies that manufacture a technology-related product and/or devote a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
