INFORMATICA RANKED 80TH FASTEST GROWING TECHNOLOGY COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA ON THE 2001 DELOITTE & TOUCHE TECHNOLOGY FAST 500

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., November 26, 2001 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of enterprise analytic software, today announced it ranked 80th on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on five-year percentage revenue growth from 1996 - 2000. Informatica grew 7,739 percent during this period.

In addition to ranking on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500, Informatica ranked 22nd on the Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in the Silicon Valley.

To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1996 and at least $1 million in 2000, must be public or private companies headquartered in Silicon Valley, and must be “technology companies,” defined as companies that manufacture a technology-related product and/or devote a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.

Fast 500 Selection and Qualifications

In its selection of the Fast 500 for Year 2000, Deloitte & Touche's team reviewed financial records for more than 5,000 public and privately held technology companies. To qualify, companies must: (1) have had 1995 revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 CD for the United States and Canada, respectively; (2) be headquartered in the United States or Canada; and (3) be a "technology company." “Technology company” is defined as one that develops proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues, manufactures a technology product, or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.

Technology Fast 500 winners are invited to an exclusive CEO Summit that will be held from May 8-10, 2002 at The Breakers Resort, Palm Beach, Florida. The CEO Summit, now in its fourth year, is designed to address the unique business challenges facing these super-charged technology companies.
