INFORMATICA LEADS DATA INTEGRATION MARKET, SAYS TDWI

Survey finds Informatica's market share over 200 percent larger than nearest vendor

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 21, 2003 - Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the leading provider of data integration and business intelligence software, today announced that The Data Warehousing Institute's (TDWI) recent data integration survey highlighted Informatica as the clear market share leader, with 38 percent of respondents indicating Informatica as their primary vendor. The vendor with the second-largest market share was selected by only 16 percent of respondents.

In addition, Informatica received the highest customer-satisfaction rating among data integration vendors with more than one customer surveyed. The TDWI survey also revealed Informatica as the scalability leader, with more customers using its data integration platform for very large throughput than any other vendor.
