Informatica Appoints John Entenmann As Executive Vice President Of Corporate Strategy And Marketing
Former head of Oracle’s Business Intelligence group brings wealth of experience in data integration product and market development
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.,
September 29, 2004—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that John Entenmann has joined the company as executive vice president of corporate strategy and marketing. Reporting to Informatica president and CEO Sohaib Abbasi, Entenmann will lead Informatica's worldwide marketing, channels and business development organizations. Entenmann replaces Paul Albright, who served as Informatica's executive vice president and chief marketing officer since January of 2004.

Entenmann most recently served as vice president of Business Intelligence products at Oracle Corporation. As general manager of the organization, Entenmann was responsible for product strategy and development across Oracle's entire Business Intelligence product suite, including Warehouse Builder. He also oversaw market strategy, competitive analysis and the formation of key relationships with various business intelligence vendors.

Previously at Oracle, Entenmann served as director of cross-platform user interface technology and also directed a team of user interface design and usability experts. Prior to Oracle, he spent six years at Sun Microsystems managing Solaris operating system development projects. Entenmann began his career at AT&T Bell Labs, where he was a member of the UNIX tools and ISDN software development teams.
Entenmann has a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University, and a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Illinois.
