REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 25, 2004—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced it has joined IBM's ISV Advantage for SMB program, which is designed to provide independent software vendors (ISVs) with targeted technical and marketing support to help meet the specific information technology needs of small and medium business (SMB) companies. Specifically, Informatica will leverage the program's resources to develop and market data integration solutions for SMB customers in the U.S. financial services and health care industries.

"We are pleased that Informatica has expanded its commitment to IBM as a partner of choice by joining ISV Advantage," said Buell Duncan, general manager, ISV and Developer Relations at IBM. "Together, IBM and Informatica can provide joint SMB customers with comprehensive data integration, middleware and database software, along with a powerful hardware platform to cost-effectively support their mission-critical business visibility requirements."

Deploying Informatica PowerCenter, PowerAnalyzer, PowerExchange and SuperGlue software on the IBM eServer* platform while leveraging IBM WebSphere Internet infrastructure software*, DB2 Universal Database* and Linux will enable Informatica to offer increased choice and flexibility for SMB customers. Informatica and IBM will help customers integrate data from heterogeneous applications and databases within their IT infrastructures.

"By increasing our participation in the ISV Advantage for SMB program, as well as offering a joint bundle distributed to small and medium-sized businesses by Avnet Partner Solutions, IBM Americas, we are hoping to expand our footprint in the SMB space through indirect channels," said John Entenmann, executive vice president of corporate strategy and marketing at Informatica. "Together, IBM and Informatica continue to help meet the compliance, risk management and customer insight needs of SMB customers that face the same complex information environments of large companies, but with smaller IT budgets."

The IBM WebSphere* and DB2* family includes products that are designed and priced specifically for small and medium businesses - easy to install and manage, scalable to grow with a business, rich in functionality, and based on open standards to allow integration with existing software and hardware platforms.
