Informatica Strengthens Commitment to SAP NetWeaver™ Platform

New SAP certification helps customers leverage PowerCenter for data migration, consolidation and synchronization projects

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., November 22, 2004—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that it has further enhanced its ongoing partnership with SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) by achieving “Powered by SAP NetWeaver™” certification for delivering tight integration between its PowerCenter data integration platform and the SAP NetWeaver platform.

With this SAP NetWeaver certification, Informatica can help customers further maximize the value of their SAP and non-SAP data and systems with a flexible enterprise-wide services infrastructure and data integration platform. Informatica PowerCenter 7 can be deployed seamlessly on the SAP Web Application Server 6.40 component of SAP NetWeaver and integrated into SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 via iView software.

The certified integration enables PowerCenter to support plug-and-play Web services as a powerful mechanism for SAP NetWeaver users, applications and processes to invoke PowerCenter services—such as data transformations, mappings and movements—or query PowerCenter’s metadata repository.

Informatica has been an SAP Software Partner for four years, with more than 400 customers also using SAP solutions. In September, Informatica PowerCenter 7 and PowerCenter Connect received SAP integration certification for the SAP Data Migration Interface (CA-DMI), following previous certifications for integration to SAP Business Intelligence, a component of SAP NetWeaver, and ALE/IDOC integration.
