Informatica Customer And Partner Portal Tops 12,000 Members
my.informatica.com continues to expand in scope and resources

June 7, 2005—Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that membership in its online portal for customers and partners, my.informatica.com, has catapulted to more than 12,000 members in 63 countries since its July 2004 launch. Encompassing resources for product implementation, professional services and customer support, my.informatica.com continues to expand in scope and has recently introduced new informational, best-practices and eService resources to further accelerate time-to-value for enterprise data integration projects.
“Growing from 4,000 to 12,000 members in just 11 months, my.informatica.com has emerged as a major community asset and resource for Informatica customers and partners,” said Karen Steele, vice president of corporate marketing at Informatica. “More than sixty-two percent of our customer companies have now registered. The value of new features and capabilities we’ve recently added can already be measured by the increasing number of visits per member—with 56 percent of our members visiting the site more than once a day—and the lengthening duration of those visits.”
Among the new features and capabilities introduced over the past months are:
- Enhanced support for Informatica Velocity SM. my.informatica.com is now a comprehensive delivery channel for Velocity, the company’s best-practices implementation framework for the rapid development of high-value data integration solutions. Members gain online access to 80 field-proven best practices, techniques and resources relating to all major phases of solution development, including Manage, Analyze, Architect, Design, Build, Test Deploy and Operate.
- Enhanced online Knowledge Base. Portal members can now leverage an enhanced online Knowledge Base containing all technical updates, articles and the latest information about Informatica products.
- Online Documentation Center. All product documentation can now easily be found in a single repository that can be searched by product, version or document type.
- eService. In the self-service arena, members are now able to access their service requests from my.informatica.com and track progress online, consistent with Informatica’s Siebel-based eService model.
- Product Center. A Product Center has also been added, enabling members to quickly view and navigate through all new product and support information, documentation, and technical articles pertinent to their needs.
Due to enthusiastic member response, my.informatica.com will also incorporate online member discussion forums in the near future, along with other interactive features. Federated search capabilities are also planned.
“Plans are also underway to fold the more than 20,000-member Informatica Developer Network into my.informatica.com later this year,” said Steele. “Folding our highly successful online resource center for developers and system integrators into my.informatica.com will result in even more valuable resources and sharable knowledge being available to my.informatica.com members.”
