Leadership and vision are two critical tenets of a successful business. While leadership is about focusing attention on what matters most to customers, vision is about how we deal with today’s realities, as well as how we address the future. Vision represents who we are and what we stand for.

Leadership and vision—and how they have driven Informatica from the very beginning—are part of the reason I decided to join Informatica 5 years ago. It also explains why we have designed and built a master data management (MDM) solution that helps organizations address their most pressing business needs. Why we deliver modular and complete end-to-end capabilities that stand the test of time and meet changing business demands. And why we have continued to add groundbreaking innovations around artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing that enable organizations to address customer experience initiatives. More than 5,000 active customers now use Informatica MDM today, on-premises and on cloud, and manage multiple domains with one single solution.

I am very excited to share that this week Gartner released its 2020 Master Data Management SolutionsMagic Quadrant (MQ) report, where they named Informatica aLeader for the fourth time in a row.The report positioned Informatica furthest on both the "ability to execute," as well as the "completeness of vision." This is a truly proud moment for us and a great validation of our innovation and the ability to help our customers succeed with MDM.

We believe Gartner MDM Magic Quadrant is critical research and represents the culmination of feedback from hundreds of customers who use MDM tools and solutions available in the market. It provides a wide-angle view of the relative positions of all of the competitors in the MDM space. By using a graphical treatment that segments each competitor into one of four different quadrants—Niche Players, Challengers, Visionaries, and Leaders—and then applying a standardized set of evaluation criteria, the MDM Magic Quadrant helps you quickly ascertain how well each vendor has executed their stated vision and how well they are currently performing in the market. For example, while Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well-positioned for tomorrow, Niche Players are either focused on a small segment, or they are unfocused and thus cannot out-innovate or outperform others. You can read more about Gartner Magic Quadrant here.

We’re proud of our position in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant report and grateful to our customers who share our vision and have helped make Informatica a recognized Leader in Master Data Management.
