I recently had the honor of delivering keynotes at two of the tech industry’s largest events – GenAI Summit, Silicon Valley 2024 and API World 2024. With thousands of attendees, these events were not only massive in scale but also incredibly rich in delivering insights about the evolving landscapes of AI and API technologies and their convergences. Here, I’ll share my top learnings from these summits and the key trends that are shaping the future.

GenAI Summit 2024: Evolving AI and Enterprise Needs

At the GenAI Summit, where leaders from hundreds of companies gathered, there was a palpable energy around the latest advancements in GenAI and the challenges enterprises face as they seek to leverage this technology. With over 200 sessions on topics such as AI Agents, model evaluation and talent acquisition, the conversations highlighted the struggle enterprises have finding the right resources to keep pace with the rapid evolution of GenAI.

The need for robust AI models that integrate seamlessly with enterprise data has never been more pressing, and I was thrilled to show how the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) can bridge this gap. IDMC, an AI-driven, enterprise-grade platform, is built to democratize GenAI and make it more accessible to users enterprise-wide. Through integration with enterprise data, IDMC helps make GenAI more production-ready to the specific organization using it. The positive feedback from attendees underscored IDMC’s unique value in helping organizations make AI more actionable and secure.

API World 2024: The Future of API and Security

API World provided a different but equally vital set of insights. API security emerged as one of the hottest topics, with discussions on how to better secure data through an AI-powered API gateway. As enterprises expand their API ecosystems, protecting these channels is paramount, especially with the rise of AI-driven automation that requires safe and streamlined data flow.

I highlighted how Informatica IDMC is built with these needs in mind. Our platform includes an AI Gateway designed to future-proof enterprise investments. This gateway serves as a robust solution for API management and security, especially in the context of GenAI. By providing an AI Gateway that integrates seamlessly into customers’ broader AI and data strategies,  Informatica helps organizations control their API-driven data environments in a secure, scalable way.

Final Thoughts: The Power of Collaboration and Learning

Delivering keynotes at these major events was a powerful learning experience, offering insights into how the broader tech community addresses both emerging challenges and opportunities. The dialogues around enterprise GenAI adoption, model management and security concerns affirmed the role that platforms like IDMC play in advancing GenAI capabilities while safeguarding data integrity.

Being part of these discussions validated the path we’re on. From the attendees' enthusiasm to the meaningful exchanges on stage and off, the experience was inspiring. I’m eager to continue building solutions that empower enterprises to leverage GenAI and APIs securely and effectively.

Here are some snapshots from these incredible events, capturing the keynote moments and the camaraderie shared with friends, colleagues and industry peers shaping the future alongside us.
