Social Responsibility

Next-gen STEM for the next generation

We’re helping 25 middle school students prepare for careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with our Informatica Next 25 initiative. To mark our 25th year in business in 2018, we partnered with The Public Education Foundation (PEF) to select 25 underrepresented students from Cashman Middle School – a STEM-certified magnet school – in Las Vegas.

We are assisting them from middle school through high school graduation with academic support, one-on-one student engagement, family involvement, and other activities to help close any opportunity and access gaps. The Informatica Next 25 is part of our commitment to be a responsible member of our communities.

Our commitment to society shows

When it comes to the environment, society and governance, we’re committed. And we have real progress to show for it. An independent 2021 EcoVadis® assessment shows improvements from 2020 and rates us above average for the Software and IT Services industry in each category. As proud as we are, we are not done. We are working hard to improve our performance still more. See more about the assessment methodology below.

The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards (Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000), and supervised by a scientific committee of CSR and supply chain experts to ensure reliable third-party CSR assessments. The methodology analyzes the four themes according to our policies, our actions, and our results, then summarizes those findings into overall and theme-based scores. The themes cover key CSR issues:

Environment

All companies leave some environmental impact, whether it’s using electricity to run an office or contributing to deforestation for grazing land. This section covers the environmental issues that confront your company and how you mitigate them.

Ethics

This theme covers three topics: corruption and bribery, anti-competitive practices, and responsible marketing. There are increasing regulations that addresses business ethics, and these regulations often include a supply chain element.

Labor and human rights

The criteria in this theme are divided into two parts: human resources (such as health and safety, working conditions, structured social dialog, career management and training) and human rights issues such as child labor, forced labor, and discrimination.

Sustainable procurement

The risks your clients face on CSR issues are increasingly felt along their supply chain, which also includes your own supply chain: where resources come from, how they are made, and the CSR management systems of your suppliers.

We are involved. All of us.

To help our neighbors in our global communities, we established Informatica Involved to focus into action the passion that we as a company and as individuals feel for the people around us. That includes employees, customers, partners and people who need help in our neighborhoods.

Informatica Involved supports many worthwhile causes, such as global hunger-relief drives, youth and education programs, and health-related campaigns. When natural disasters strike, Informatica Involved has matched employee donations to provide relief for catastrophic damage to property and life. All of us feel it is important to be active supporters of the people around us – to be involved and to stay involved.
