Acquisitions in 2009 brought the company into application data lifecycle management, postal data quality and complex event processing. Informatica named to Forbes 200 Best Small Companies

Informatica ranks 89 in the Forbes list of the 200 Best Small Companies in America 2009. The list highlights companies that show both sales and earnings growth. Candidates have annual revenue between $5 million and $750 million, are publicly traded for at least a year and have a stock price no lower than $5. Rankings are based on earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over five years. Forbes also compared the stock performance of each company with that of its peers.

2009 Stevie Awards
Informatica Global Customer Support has been named the winner in the 3rd annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service: Best Use of Technology in Customer Service category. Informatica beat out stiff competition with over 520 submissions received. In addition Informatica was also recognized as a Finalist in the category of Customer Service Department of the Year - IT & Telecommunications.

The Informatica submission focused on the "Global" in Global Customer Support, highlighting how Informatica replaced a regional support model with global, location-transparent support to ensure effective response to fluctuating customer needs. To underpin the new model, Informatica built an infrastructure powered by Informatica PowerCenter Real-Time edition which enabled support personnel holistic, real-time views of customers so that service requests could be handled not just at the nearest support center, but at any of the nine worldwide centers. Informatica customer RBS has won the Client Financial Services Technology Project of the Year Award for their SPOT (Shared Product Opportunity Tool) project. Intelligent Enterprise 2008 Editors' Choice Awards
Informatica has been named one of the most influential vendors in 2008 that will drive the intelligent enterprise. Looking at scores of companies that expressed the ideals of helping organizations move toward the Intelligent Enterprise, only twelve companies were named in the ninth annual Editors' Choice Awards.   IM2006 Awards, "Business Intelligence and Premier Project Finalist: M&S Money"
Informatica customer M&S Money has been named a finalist for the Information Management 2006 Business Intelligence award and the 2006 Premier Project award for its submission entitled "Meeting the compliance deadline from Basel II". The Information Management Awards, now in their eleventh year, are the premier European recognition of excellence and innovation in the management of business information. These awards honor the most innovative and successful project involving the application of business intelligence technology and the overall best information management project.

 

  DM Review, "World Class Solution Awards" - 2006
Informatica, Deloitte Consulting and customer Nationwide won DM Review's coveted World Class Solution Award in the Data Management category. The award recognizes the ground-breaking FOCUS finance data-management initiative, a multi-year undertaking on the part of Nationwide to transform its global enterprise finance function, leveraging its service providers, Deloitte Consulting and Informatica.  Informatica PowerCenter Advanced Edition was selected as the data integration backbone that unifies the entire FOCUS ecosystem into a single platform used by over 2,000 business users at all levels and across all Nationwide business units.

 

  The British Computer Society (BCS), "Business Achievement Award Medalist" - 2006
Informatica and customer Carphone Warehouse has been named a medalist for the prestigious BCS Business Achievement Award in the Retail, Commercial & Manufacturing category. Carphone Warehouse made the final shortlist for successfully implementing the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform that enabled more rapid, reliable access to worldwide sales and call-detail information on a daily basis. Replacing a custom, hand-coded method for data integration, Informatica PowerCenter helped Carphone Warehouse streamline key business processes, improve cash-flow procedures and, ultimately, increase profitability.  The BCS is the industry body for IT professionals and a Chartered Engineering Institution for Information Technology.

 

  The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), "Best Practices Award" - 2006
Informatica, Teradata and Nationwide won the 2006 TDWI Best Practices Award in the Master Data Management category. Informatica PowerCenter Advanced Edition serves as the data integration backbone of Nationwide's FOCUS finance data-management initiative, consolidating data across more than 200 legacy applications into a Teradata enterprise data warehouse. As a result of the MDM and data governance initiative, Nationwide has improved regulatory-compliance efforts, decreased IT costs and increased business agility across the organization.

Informatica and customers BNSF, Fairfax County Public Schools and U.S. Coast Guard won four out of the five 2006 Performance Management Leadership Awards presented by Ventana Research. Informatica's IT department, led by CIO Tony Young, won IT Performance Management Leadership award for successfully using technology, including Informatica PowerCenter, to improve business performance. Fairfax County Public Schools won the Overall Performance Management Leadership Award and BNSF and U.S. Coast Guard won the Finance Performance Leadership Award and the Technology Leadership Award respectively.

Informatica CIO, Tony Young, won CIO Decisions magazine's prestigious 2006 Mid-Market Leadership Award. One of 25 award winners, chosen from a field of 175 nominations, Young was recognized for advancing the success of Informatica's enterprise "through the creative, resourceful and cost-effective use of information technology." Nominees were judged by a panel of CIO Decisions editors, IT executives and industry experts on how well they achieved IT/business alignment and project success within their midsized ($50 million to $2 billion in annual revenues) enterprises.

Informatica was selected by the San Jose Mercury News as one of 2005's Top 150 Silicon Valley corporations. The Silicon Valley Top 150 ranks the leading companies in the Bay Area based on worldwide revenues ("Sales'') for the most recent available four quarters. Hong Kong Hospital Authority has won the 2006 Asia Pacific Information and Communication Technology Award (APICTA) in the Healthcare category for its Electronic Patient Record system with Radiological Image Distribution, a comprehensive clinical data repository powered by the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform. APICTA is an international awards program designed to stimulate ICT innovation and creativity and promote economic and trade relations.

Virginia Fairfax County Public Schools has won the coveted 2006 CIO Magazine Enterprise Value Award for its patented Education Decision Support Library (EDSL), a comprehensive repository of educational information built on top of the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform, to help the school system achieve compliance with the federally mandated No Child Left Behind Act.

Informatica was named the worldwide revenue market leader in ETL for the fourth year in a row in Gartner's November 14, 2005 report, "Market Share and Forecast: ETL Tools, Worldwide, 2004-2009."  According to the report, Informatica captured 25 percent of the ETL market, highlighting a strong revenue increase of 10.8 percent from 2003.
